THE FOUR COUNTIES 50TH ANNIVERSARY TOURNAMENT 2022
The weather was very mixed some sun but lots of wind, rain and at times sleet
The players had some tough conditions to contend with
The course was in excellent condition, and thanks to Holiinwell GC for their hospitality.
The Nott’s team managed by Gary Quible & myself performed with distinction, all team members supporting each other and provided a great display of super golf
The formal 50th anniversary dinner was a great success, special guests Tucker Payne and Alastair McLachlan who played for Nottinghamshire in the 1st event 50 years ago, were invited.
Letters of congratulation from past four counties players and now famous golfers were read out by Nott’s President, Richard Bonnello.
Lancashire won the event, with Nott’s finishing in a very cretitable 2nd place.
Thanks to Mandy Bee and Roger Poole for their administration throughout the tournament, To Colin Bee, Richard Bonnello, Edgar Bramwell and Dave Hallstead and parents for their support.
