NUGC MIXED PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIP REPORT

The Mixed Pairs Championship took place on Thursday 23rd June at the prestigious Coxmoor Golf Club, the course was very stern test but set up fairly to allow all levels of competitors to compete.

The format is a Better Ball Stableford, there were 5 prizes on offer, the field attracted an entry of 64 pairs.

The winners were as follows:

1st Place – Elliot Cook & Bev Cook from The Nottinghamshire GC

2nd Place- Dermot Booth & Jane Baxter from Mapperley GC

3rd Place -Steve Cockayne & Lorraine Howd from Ruddington Grange GC

4th Place- James Firth & Catherina Bassett from Norwood Park GC

5th Place- Craig Banfield & Barbara Banfield from Rushcliffe GC

Special thanks must go to Coxmoor Golf Club, who not only present a stunning golf course, the warm welcome and excellent service is second to none.

We are indebted to clubs like Coxmoor who continue to support the county in hosting all manner of events and have done for a very long time.
