EDDIE PETERS TROPHY

Eddie Peters Trophy - Sunday 24th March at Coxmoor Golf Club - Report

EDDIE PETERS TROPHY – SUNDAY 24TH MARCH 2024

Jack Sallis (Hollinwell) shot an impressive 4 under par 69 to win the prestigious Eddie Peters Trophy at a windswept Coxmoor Golf Club, in the opening event of the Notts Union calendar.

Close on his heels was Matt Hogg (Rushcliffe) who missed a 4 foot put on the last to tie Sallis, shooting 70. The next best was Joe Blackburn (Worksop) who shot level par 73, in 4th place was home Ash Norwood with a one over par 74 pipping Dean Reddington (Sherwood Forest) on the back 9.

Running alongside the scratch event there is the handicap competition, this was won by county junior William Psenko (Ramsdale Park) who shot net 67, in second place was Ben Adams (Beeston Fields) net 71, pipping Mark Porthouse (Sherwood Forest) in third place was evergreen Derek McJannett (Sherwood Forest) who carded a net 72. The final place of the day went Drew Marshall (Chilwell Manor) who also carded a net 72 only losing out to McJannett on the back 9.

Special thanks to Coxmoor Golf Club for hosting the event, the course was in excellent condition despite the continued poor weather around the county, which is seeing many of our courses struggling to even open, much like the rest of the country.
