The annual 4 Counties Tournament was played at Bridgnorth GC in what can only be described as challenging weather conditions – 4 seasons in one day!

The Notts boys have had very mixed fortunes over the 3 matches – fantastic performance on the first two rounds with excellent halved matches against Shropshire & Herefordshire and the Cheshire which said they were fielding their best team in many years. The final match against Lancashire was very difficult against some really excellent opponents – the 6-1 loss doesn’t reflect how hard our boys played.

The boys conducted themselves wonderfully well and the hotel complimented us on how nice they had been.

The level of support for the other 3 Counties was quite daunting at times. From Notts I’d like to thank President Richard Bonnello, County Secretary Colin Bee, Assistant Secretary Mandy Bee and Past President Stan Yeomans for their support.

Gary Quibell was incredibly supportive, could not have done it without him.
