NOTT U14s WIN TIGHT MATCH AGAINST LEICESTERSHIRE & RUTLAND
I was accompanied by Edgar Bramwell and Joe Stocker who helped with the organisation and encouraged the boys throughout the day.
Another away match with some distance to be travelled especially for the boys living in the north of the county so once again a big thank you to all the players and their parents for making the trip
Also a thank you to Dave Deacon the L and R manager and Melton Mowbrey for their hospitality, the course was well presented and the catering enjoyed by all
The morning foursomes was a tight affair with the Notts boys winning 3 matches to 2.
Heavy rain during lunch threatened to spoil the afternoon but thankfully this cleared as our captain Lennon Albans stepped onto the tee. Notts took an early lead winning 4 of the first 6 matches but L and R were doing well in the later matches, in the end Notts won one more match to secure a victory 8 matches to 7
Special mention for Zach Always winning 6 and 5 and for Drew Wilson making a good half on the last to gain a 1 up victory and secure the winning point.
I say this every time and once gain the boys were a credit to the county
