HENDERSON & CARLISLE REPORT
The weather was great, the course excellent and the scoring low.
There are two trophies to play for the Henderson handicap and the Carlisle Scratch Shield.
The winner of the Handicap event was Kailash Krishnan SOTW GC with a magnificent Nett 65, Runner Up was Josh Stevens, Beeston Fields with a Nett 66 and in 3rd spot was Matthew Hatch Ruddington Grange GC.
In the Scratch event a magnificent 73 Gross from Ruddington Grange Matthew Barker ran out the winner with 15-year-old Taran Hayer Mapperley GC shooting 74 and finishing Runner Up. In 3rd spot was County Junior team regular Louis Willey with a 75 gross.
In the U16 event it was great to see Jorja Newbold take the best gross with a fantastic 77, in the U16 handicap section Notts GC Joseph Bartram shot a nett 69 beating William Archer on the back 9.
There is also a Gross and Nett trophy for the Wollaton park members only. At the prize giving the County Secretary said he was disappointed that no Wollaton park member had entered or played in the event. After the prize giving of the competitors (Molly Campbell) informed the County that she was also a member of Wollaton Park as well as her home club Beeston Fields. Therefore, with a score of 102 Gross and 83 Nett took both trophies.
Massive thanks to Wollaton park Golf Club, a great supporter of the County who proved perfect hosts again.
