This was the 16th year for this event which is always played in an extremely good-natured manner but still competitive. The course was in good condition and the weather was kind, the short shower around lunch time didn’t dampen spirits. The morning four balls ended with a nail biting 3-3 and the afternoon singles went to the last match bringing the scores to 6-6. The overall result 9- 9 a draw, this is only the 2nd time this has happened. The Pee Wees retained the Ryder Cup but as like last year the visiting team took the winners trophies. The girls and boys gave a brilliant display of golf and behaviour – well done Team. A picture of both teams is below.
Mike Roberts from Shropshire & Hertfordshire who has been involved with the Pee Wees and the Ryder Cup for 17 years, due to family commitments he has decided to step back from his role. Stan Yeomans made a special presentation to Mike and his wife Jan on behalf of Nottinghamshire and wished him well for the future
