Entrance
Fee : £ 20.00 [per team of four players - Boys and
girls under 18 years of age on the 1st January,
2008]

Players
must be of amateur status as defined by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, and must be under the
age of 18 years on the 1st January, 2008, and a member of
a golf club which is affiliated to the Nottinghamshire
Union of Golf Clubs.

The
competition is restricted to teams of four players, boys
and girls, with a current CONGU playing handicap, not
exceeding 28 for boys and 36 for girls. The best three
aggregate scores from four will determine the
winners.

In the
event of the tournament being tied the result will be
determined by the fourth players score. All other ties
will be decided by a count-back over the last 9 - 6- 3-
2- 1 - 12 or 15 holes in that order.

The
draw and starting times will be communicated to the
Junior Organiser of each golf club in the County with
participating players a few days prior to the
competition.

Entries
must be on the attached form and sent together with the
appropriate entry fee of £ 20.00 to:

received by not later than 12.00 noon on Monday, the 4th

PLEASE
MAKE ALL CHEQUES PAYABLE TO THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE UNION OF
GOLF CLUBS AND DATED THE 4th AUGUST, 2008.

No entries will be
accepted by telephone or after the closing date for
entries.

No
refunds will be made unless the withdrawal is received
before the closing date for entries.

The
Committee of the Nottinghamshire Union of Golf Clubs
reserve the right to refuse any entry without explanation
and to adjust the playing handicaps of any intending
competitors.

All
disputes shall be decided by the Committee appointed for
the purpose of this competition whose decision shall be
final.

When
play is suspended for a dangerous situation [e.g.
lightening] the signal will be a prolonged blast on a
klaxon. Suspension for any other reason will be signaled
by several short blasts on a klaxon. Players will be
notified to resume play by two blasts on a
klaxon.

If a
player is known to suffer from a condition which may
require urgent medical attention [e.g. Asthma,
diabetes, epilepsy, heart condition, allergies to bee or
wasp stings, etc.] it is important you notify an
Officer of the Nottinghamshire Union of Golf Clubs
accordingly and direct with regard to steps to be taken
in the event of an attack.

No
caddies will be allowed. [Penalty for breach of
Condition: 2 stokes for each hole at which any breach
occurred. Maximum penalty per round : 4
strokes.].

Conforming golf balls: The ball the player plays must be named on the current List of Conforming Golf Balls issued by the R & A Limited. Penalty for breach of the condition: Disqualification.

Conforming
golf clubs: Driving clubs must not have a characteristic
time greater than 257 microseconds when measured on
pendulum testing apparatus approved by the R & A
Rules Limited. See Appendix II, 5a of the Rules of Golf.

Competitors
may use motorised golf carts on medical grounds only, and
only providing the Club allows the use of motorised golf
carts.

Neither
the Sherwood Forest Golf Club or the Nottinghamshire Union of
Golf Clubs accept any responsibility for theft or
accident, and competitors are advised to ensure they
carry adequate insurance cover.
